You can now choose your preferred open model in Alpha
Pick the model that answers you from the message box, and see who made it and where it runs.
Model Picker
You can now choose which model answers you, right from the message box. Next to each model, you’ll see who made it, and for most models, where it runs. After an answer, open the X-ray panel to see which model wrote it.
The eight models you can pick from:
- Apertus 1.5 70B, from the Swiss National AI Institute
- ALIA 40B, from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center
- SEA-LION v4 (Qwen) 32B, from AI Singapore
- SEA-LION v4.8 (Nemotron) 120B, from AI Singapore
- SEA-LION v4 (Gemma) 27B, from AI Singapore
- Bielik 11B v3, from SpeakLeash
- GLM 5.2, from Zhipu AI
- Mistral Large 3, from Mistral AI
Fixes & Minor Updates
- Citation excerpts: When you ask for sources, you can open X-ray and read the passage behind each citation. You no longer have to click through every link.
- Calculations: We reworked how Alpha handles arithmetic. In our testing, follow-up questions about numbers now come back correct.
- Prompt logging: We turned off prompt logging on the service that serves Alpha’s models, so what you type is no longer stored there. We’ve also cut how long we keep usage logs to seven days.
