AI Potluck is a coalition of organizations that each bring something real and share ownership of what gets built: a foundation model, fine-tuning capabilities, a benchmarking framework, safety tools, some compute, funding. There's no single company behind this.

Apertus is a large-scale, fully open, multilingual language foundation model built by researchers at EPFL, ETH Zurich, and CSCS, designed for the public good.

Current AI provides product vision and orchestration including partner curation, user experience and product management, as well as investments in interoperability and communication.

Hugging Face provides inference and storage infrastructure, plus voice output through HF Spaces, and a direct line to the broader open-source AI ecosystem. Their open code also powers the user interface.

LUMI, Finland’s fast and energy-efficient supercomputers will contribute compute to the potluck.

MIT Media Lab AHA program contributes the ImpactBench, the evaluation framework that holds the product to its values.

Mozilla AI contributes their gateway platform Otari, giving developers a single control layer to manage and operate LLM infrastructure across multiple providers.

Mozilla co-hosts the community layer and socializes the Potluck across the open source movement.

OpenMined will be building a privacy preserving tool to allow governments and other privacy sensitive entities to collaborate.

Open Source Observer (OSO) contributes the data, methodology, and analysis that makes the Gap Map legible and credible.

Public AI provides the inference platform that serves the stack to the public.

ROOST builds open source trust and safety tools so every organization can have free, customizable safety they control. These open source projects are used in the Potluck.
