AWS MCP Servers
Amazon Web ServicesAWS's own suite of MCP servers - 58 of them across infrastructure, data, machine learning, developer tooling, messaging and cost - each exposing one AWS service to an agent over stdio, using the caller's existing AWS credentials.
Each server publishes its own PyPI distribution (`awslabs.core-mcp-server` and so on) rather than one package for the suite, so there is no single artifact to sum and adoption is read from stars. Worth knowing for a later re-read: the README announces the Agent Toolkit for AWS as "the successor to the MCP servers, plugins, and skills available on AWS Labs", while saying this repository "continues to work and accept contributions".

Adoption
2 low confidenceThe repository ships one PyPI distribution per server rather than a single package for the suite, so no usage-volume channel exists and GitHub stars are the only comparable adoption signal. A star is not a use, so this reading stands on a weak signal alone.

Capability
3 medium confidenceAWS MCP Servers packages 58 servers, but each fronts a single AWS service, and every server runs locally over stdio using AWS credentials the caller has already configured. What would move it higher is managed credentials or hosted execution, neither of which any server here provides.
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/awslabs/mcp/main/README.md recorded 2026-09-17
The README: "A suite of specialized MCP servers that help you get the most out of AWS". Installation and Setup step 3 is "Configure AWS credentials with access to required services", and the MCP client configuration blocks carry no credential, only `FASTMCP_LOG_LEVEL`. "The MCP servers in this repository are designed to support stdio only." It distinguishes AWS's own managed remote servers, which "require no setup or infrastructure management on your part", as a separate offering.
