Le Chat, now called Vibe, is proprietary SaaS: Mistral's consumer terms assign ownership to the company and grant only a non-exclusive right to use it, and no source release exists. Enterprise customers can have it deployed on-premises or in a private cloud, but that is a commercial deployment of closed software. The underlying Mistral models are scored separately, and Mistral's Vibe Code CLI ships under Apache-2.0, but the chat surface itself is closed.
