LM Studio
LM StudioDesktop app for discovering, downloading and running local models, with a chat interface, a model browser, an OpenAI-compatible local server, a headless mode and native Apple MLX support. A headless build is offered separately for servers and continuous integration.

Adoption
3 medium confidenceA widely-used consumer desktop app, but the vendor publishes no install or active-user count and no primary figure is obtainable, so the level is a conservative reading of that reported reach rather than a measured one.
