Orange Pi 5

Orange Pi (Shenzhen Xunlong)

Single-board computer built around the Rockchip RK3588S, an eight-core 64-bit Arm processor pairing four Cortex-A76 with four Cortex-A55, a Mali-G610 GPU and a built-in NPU rated at 6 TOPS. It ships in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X configurations and runs Android, Debian, Ubuntu and Orange Pi OS.

Made by Orange Pi, trading as Shenzhen Xunlong. The openness axis weighs a published board support package, datasheet and schematics against bootable images that depend on Rockchip firmware binaries. Verified 2026-08-13 via the Orange Pi 5 product and support pages, the orangepi-build repository and the rkbin repository.

Sold directly on AliExpress and Amazon at ~$69-$115 across multiple SKUs, with a large third-party software/community ecosystem. The Amazon listing is not machine-readable (the host returns a "Click the button below to continue shopping" interstitial to an automated fetch, not the listing), so availability rests on Orange Pi's own product page, which carries live Aliexpress, Amazon and Xunlong store links and the 4/8/16GB SKUs.

The RK3588S NPU does 6 TOPS with mixed-precision support and runs small on-device LLMs, but well below discrete GPUs and dedicated NPUs. The spec table reads 6 TOPS with INT4/INT8/INT16 mixed operation and 4/8/16GB LPDDR4/4X, which is the same tier as khadas-edge2 (also 6 TOPS RK3588S2) and well under the 67-275 TOPS Jetson Orin parts.
