Raspberry Pi 5
Raspberry PiCredit-card-sized single-board computer built on the Broadcom BCM2712, with a 2.4 GHz quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 and a VideoCore VII GPU, offered with 1GB to 16GB of LPDDR4X. It carries no dedicated NPU, so on-device inference runs on the CPU and GPU or through an add-on accelerator such as the AI HAT+.
No schematic is published for the Pi 5, only a mechanical drawing, and some firmware stays closed. No representative GitHub artifact is declared, because the kernel fork is a general-purpose OS mirror whose activity says nothing about the board as an AI platform. Verified 2026-08-14 via the product brief, the mechanical drawing and the firmware README.

Raspberry Pi publishes an open Linux kernel tree and public datasheets and the board is on sale worldwide, but it publishes no schematic for the Pi 5 at all. The Pi 4's reduced schematic is still served at datasheets.raspberrypi.com/rpi4/raspberry-pi-4-reduced-schematics.pdf; the matching Pi 5 path returns nothing, and the documentation index offers for the Pi 5 only a mechanical drawing (RP-008347-DS) and two STEP files, one of them with silkscreen. That set is a mechanical spec - what a HAT or a case is designed against - rather than a design, so the published design files count as partial, and a partial design holds the board at 3, documented, however open the kernel tree is. The public documentation rests on the RP1 Peripherals datasheet, RP-008370-DS, 93 pages of register-level documentation for the Pi 5's own I/O controller, served without registration under CC BY-ND and carrying no NDA or confidentiality notice anywhere in it. The firmware position rests on the raspberrypi/firmware README, which splits the tree by licence - "start*.elf, fixup*.dat and bootcode.bin are the GPU firmwares and bootloader", covered by Broadcom's licence, against kernel images, device trees and modules under the GPL. Availability rests on The Pi Hut listing all five SKUs in stock with an add-to-cart button and no account gate. One inconsistency is worth stating rather than resolving here: this board describes its proprietary Broadcom boot chain as minimal firmware, where all nineteen other boards in the category describe the same shape of fact as required firmware, beagley-ai included. Nothing scored turns on the difference, because no rung on the hardware ladder reads the firmware component at all.
